Heathrow airport taxi fixed-fare transfers, all four terminals, met in arrivals, 24/7
A fixed fare per car to or from Heathrow, agreed when you book. TfL-licensed drivers, a name board in arrivals, and the same price at 4am as at 4pm.
Per car, not per person. No surge, no night surcharge. Free cancellation up to 24h before.
Heathrow airport taxi prices: fixed fares from every terminal
A Heathrow airport taxi with Rushxo is a fixed fare per car, agreed when you book and unchanged by traffic, the hour or the weather. The driver meets you inside the arrivals hall of your terminal with a name board, your flight is tracked, and 60 minutes of waiting after landing is included. The tables are our published saloon fares from Heathrow; the same price applies to the airport, and a return booked together is 10% off.
Every fare includes the driver, fuel, the £7 terminal charge, the Congestion Charge and ULEZ where they apply, and meet and greet. Executive cars, 6-seat MPVs and 8-seater minibuses are quoted the same way, per vehicle rather than per person, which is where a pre-booked car beats the rank for anyone travelling as two or more.

Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5: where we meet you and the £7 drop-off charge
Heathrow has four terminals in use: Terminal 2 (the Queen’s Terminal, Star Alliance airlines), Terminal 3 (Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Delta and most Oneworld long-haul), Terminal 4 (SkyTeam and several Middle East and Asian carriers) and Terminal 5 (British Airways and Iberia). Your airline decides; it is on the booking, and we confirm it with you the day before. Terminals 2 and 3 share the central area; Terminals 4 and 5 are separate sites a few minutes’ drive apart.
| Terminal | Where your driver waits | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal 2 | Inside the arrivals hall, at the point in your confirmation | Star Alliance: United, Lufthansa, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, Aer Lingus |
| Terminal 3 | Inside the arrivals hall, at the point in your confirmation | Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Delta, American, Cathay Pacific |
| Terminal 4 | Inside the arrivals hall, at the point in your confirmation | KLM, Air France, Etihad, Qatar Airways, Malaysia Airlines |
| Terminal 5 | Inside the arrivals hall, at the point in your confirmation | British Airways and Iberia; the busiest terminal for pickups |
Drop-off is a £7 charge per entry at every terminal forecourt (up from £6 on 1 January 2026), paid by number plate. We include it in your fare. For pickups the driver parks in the terminal’s short-stay car park, walks to arrivals and waits inside, so you are never standing on the forecourt with cases. If the airport changes the charge, the figure on this page is updated; check heathrow.com for the current rate if you are driving yourself.
Meet and greet, flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting
Give us the flight number and we monitor it from departure. Land early and the driver is already there; land late and the pickup moves with the flight at no cost. From touchdown you have 60 minutes of free waiting, which comfortably covers a long-haul passport queue and the baggage hall; if it overruns, the driver waits and the fare does not change. You receive the driver’s name, photo and registration the day before and their direct mobile on the day, and our UK dispatch desk answers 020 8888 9988 24 hours a day. Read more about how meet and greet works and what to expect between the plane and the pickup.

How booking works
- Get the fare: pickup, drop-off and terminal on the booking page give an instant fixed quote; or message +44 7466 237870 on WhatsApp, or call 020 8888 9988.
- Confirm: pay online by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or secure the car with a 30% deposit and settle the balance 24 hours before travel. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.
- The day before: you receive the driver’s name, photo and registration and the meeting point in arrivals.
- On the day: the flight is tracked, the driver texts when in position, and the return leg, if booked together, is 10% off.
Taxi, Heathrow Express, Elizabeth line or app
The Heathrow Express reaches Paddington in about 15 minutes and the Elizabeth line reaches central London in roughly 45, both good options for one person with a cabin bag and a destination near the line. From Paddington, though, the rest of the journey starts: another train, the Tube with cases, or a cab from the rank. A black cab from the terminal rank is metered, so a wet evening on the M4 costs more than a clear one, and apps can re-quote at the busiest arrival banks.
A pre-booked fixed fare is door to door, priced per car, and settled before you fly. For two or more people, a family with luggage, an early or late flight, or anywhere outside Zone 1, it is usually the cheapest option once the whole journey is counted, and always the most predictable.
| Option | Price behaviour | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Rushxo fixed fare | Agreed at booking, includes the terminal charge and 60 minutes of waiting | Groups, luggage, early and late flights, anywhere beyond central London |
| Heathrow Express | Per person, premium fare | One person to Paddington and near it |
| Elizabeth line | Per person, Oyster and contactless | Light luggage, destinations along the line |
| Black cab rank | Metered, plus airport extras | Kerbside, central London only |
| Ride-hailing app | Dynamic; can re-quote | Off-peak, short distance, no deadline |
Why book your Heathrow taxi with Rushxo
Rushxo is a TfL-licensed private hire operator (licence 11588) based in Dartford, Kent, and the Heathrow run from the east and south-east of London is our daily bread: Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich, Dartford, Gravesend, the Medway towns, Sevenoaks and Maidstone to Heathrow, around the M25 rather than through the city, at a fixed fare quoted before we leave. We cover every London postcode, Kent and Essex 24 hours a day, and the 4am pickup costs what the 4pm one costs.
Drivers hold TfL licences and enhanced DBS checks, vehicles are licensed and insured, and the company carries £10m public liability cover. Read what customers say, or see our guides to early-morning Heathrow flights and early arrivals into London.

Heathrow Airport transfers: questions
How much is a taxi from Heathrow to central London?
Our published saloon fare between Heathrow and central London is from £135, per car for up to four passengers, including the £7 terminal charge, the Congestion Charge where it applies and 60 minutes of waiting after landing. Journeys to west London start from £90. The tables above show the figure for each destination and the same price applies in the other direction.
Do I have to pay the Heathrow drop-off charge?
Not with us. The £7 terminal drop-off charge is inside the fixed fare. For pickups the driver uses the short-stay car park and meets you inside arrivals, so there is nothing to pay at the kerb.
Where do I meet my driver at each Heathrow terminal?
Inside the arrivals hall of your terminal, holding a name board, at the meeting point named in your confirmation along with the driver’s mobile number. Terminals 2 and 3 share the central area; Terminals 4 and 5 have their own arrivals halls.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track the flight and move the pickup automatically. Free waiting runs for 60 minutes from the actual landing time, and if immigration or baggage takes longer the driver waits without a change to the fare.
Is a pre-booked taxi cheaper than Uber or a black cab at Heathrow?
For two or more people, or anyone with luggage or a destination beyond central London, usually yes: the fare is per car, includes the airport charges and cannot rise with demand. A black cab is metered plus airport extras; an app can re-quote at busy arrival times.
Can I book a taxi for a large group or extra luggage?
Yes. A 6-seat MPV takes up to six cases and an 8-seater minibus up to eight; for bigger parties we send two vehicles or a 16-seater. Tell us the passenger and case count at booking and the right vehicle is allocated.
Do you offer wheelchair-accessible vehicles at Heathrow?
Yes. Ramp and lift vehicles are booked in advance so the passenger travels in their own chair, with meet and greet in arrivals as standard and no extra charge for the vehicle type.
Can I cancel or change my Heathrow transfer?
Yes. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup, and time, terminal or address changes are made by phone or WhatsApp at no cost. Pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay online, or a 30% deposit with the balance due 24 hours before travel.
Which terminal does my airline use at Heathrow?
Terminal 2 is used by Star Alliance airlines, Terminal 3 by Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Delta and most Oneworld long-haul carriers, Terminal 4 by SkyTeam and several Middle East and Asian airlines, and Terminal 5 by British Airways and Iberia. Airlines occasionally move, so we confirm the terminal with you the day before.
How far is Heathrow from central London and how long does it take?
About 15 to 17 miles depending on the destination, typically 45 to 80 minutes by road. The tables above give a distance and time band for each borough, area and station.
