Wireless transfers: no camping, just the getting out
Wireless is a city festival, which removes most of the usual problems. No tents, no mud, no five-day expedition. What it leaves is a single sharp problem: forty-odd thousand people leaving a park in north London at half ten, nearly all heading for the same station.
The curfew, which is enforced because Finsbury Park is surrounded by houses. Everything finishes at once and everyone moves at once, which makes the exit the only part of the day worth planning.

Finsbury Park is north London, so from Kent it means the river and then the A1 or the A10. Straightforward on the way in; the late return is considerably quicker than the outbound.

Why a day festival still needs a plan
The station queue is the whole argument
Finsbury Park handles a lot of people, and after a sold-out day it handles them by queuing. Half an hour to enter the station is normal, and that is before the journey home and whatever connection waits at the Kent end. Walking ten minutes to a waiting vehicle beats it comfortably.
Residential streets mean the collection sits back
The park is ringed by houses and the closures on event days cover a wide area. We hold position beyond them, on roads that traffic can actually leave by, and send you the exact spot and the registration before the headline set ends.
It is cheap per head
No camping, no overnight, no kit. A day festival splits well across a minibus, and for a group of eight the per-person cost is usually below the combined rail fares once you count the Kent leg at both ends.
Weather is the only kit consideration
Nothing to carry beyond a jacket, which makes this one of the few festivals where seat count really is the whole sizing question. Book the number of people and you are done.

What time does Wireless finish?
Around half past ten, and it is enforced rather than approximate. Finsbury Park is surrounded by houses and the licence reflects that, so the music stops on time and everyone leaves together.
Where will you collect us?
On the residential grid roughly ten minutes' walk beyond the closure, where roads are moving. The exact point and the vehicle registration are sent to your phone before the headline set ends.
Is it better than the train?
For a group, yes. Finsbury Park station operates queuing systems after a sold-out day and waits of half an hour to get in are normal, before you have even started the journey into Kent.
How long does it take from Kent?
Around an hour to an hour and a half in the afternoon, and noticeably quicker on the way back because the roads are clear late at night.
Do we need a big vehicle?
No. There is nothing to carry at a day festival, so seat count is the whole question. A group of eight fits an eight-seater comfortably.
Can we book the return only?
Yes, and plenty do. Travel in by train while services are running normally and book us for the leg that is actually difficult.
Can a parent book for a younger group?
Yes. Driver name and registration are confirmed to the booking adult, and they remain our contact if anything changes.
Is the fare fixed?
Yes, agreed at booking. A late finish or a slow walk out does not change what you pay.
