All Points East: close to Kent, ringed by canals
Victoria Park is among the easiest London festival sites to reach from Kent, straight through the tunnels and up. It is also bounded by canals on two sides, which means the direct line to your vehicle on a map is frequently not walkable at all.
The Regent's Canal and the Hertford Union bound the park, crossed only at specific bridges. A meeting point dropped as a pin two hundred metres away can be a fifteen-minute walk if it is on the wrong bank.

Crossed at bridges only
Two waterways bound the park. A pin dropped across one of them is a long detour, not a short walk. We name a street and a bridge instead.
Spread widely
The site uses different entrances by event and the exit gates are not always the ones you came in by. Confirm before you go in.
Residential and restricted
The roads around the park are narrow, residential and controlled on event days. We wait beyond them where traffic moves.
Best for Kent
Coming out towards the south and the A12 puts you on the right side for the tunnels. It is our default for Kent-bound journeys.
One of the shortest London festival runs
East London is our easiest corner of the city. Straight up the A2, through the tunnel, and you are there, which makes APE one of the cheaper festival days on our list.

Working an east London park
Name a street, not a pin
This is the practical lesson of a canal-bound site. We give you a street name and a landmark rather than a dropped pin, because a pin does not know that the only way across the water is four hundred metres in the other direction. It sounds trivial until it is eleven at night and your phone is at four per cent.
The curfew is early, the return is easy
Residential Hackney means a firm curfew, and that works in your favour. You are travelling home well before the small hours, on roads that are still moving, with a journey back to Kent of well under an hour from most of the county.
It is the cheapest big-name festival day we run
Because it is close. The fare from Gravesend or Dartford to E3 is a fraction of Reading or Glastonbury, and split across a minibus for a group of eight it becomes very cheap indeed for a day of headline acts.
Nothing to carry
No camping, no kit, so sizing is purely about head count. That makes this one of the simplest bookings to get right, and one where an eight-seater genuinely holds eight people.

Where will you collect us?
On a named street beyond the residential closures, with a landmark rather than a dropped pin. Victoria Park is bounded by canals and a pin on the wrong bank can mean a fifteen-minute detour to find a bridge.
How close is it from Kent?
Very. Under an hour from most of north and west Kent, and around fifty minutes from Gravesend. It is the closest major London festival site to our patch.
Which exit should we use?
The southern side towards the A12 for anyone heading back to Kent. We agree it in advance because the exit gates are not always the ones you entered by.
What time does it finish?
Early by festival standards, because Victoria Park is surrounded by housing and the licence reflects that. You will be travelling home before the roads get difficult.
Do we need a large vehicle?
No. There is nothing to carry at a day festival, so seat count is the whole question.
Can we do two days without staying over?
Yes, and from Kent it is usually cheaper than a hotel. Two separate returns, arranged together with one contact.
Is it cheaper than the train?
For a group of four or more, generally yes, and considerably easier at the end of the night when everyone is heading for the same few stations.
Is the fare fixed?
Yes, agreed at booking and unaffected by traffic, the finish time or a slow walk out.
