How the Upper Class Wing drop-off works
- Turn off before the terminal. Approaching Terminal 3, your driver turns left before the usual T3 drop-off lanes and follows the ‘Virgin Upper Class Wing’ signs.
- Give your booking reference at the barrier. Virgin’s team lifts the barrier and your driver pulls into one of the bays.
- Check in at the car. You are greeted as you step out; bags are taken and boarding passes issued.
- Private security to the Clubhouse. A private security channel takes you straight through to the Virgin Clubhouse.
The Wing is for drop-off only: there is no parking, so your driver leaves once you are inside. It can only be reached by car, not by train or Tube.

Opening hours
Open daily 05:00–21:30. Outside those hours we drop you at the main Terminal 3 departures entrance.
Virgin asks you to arrive at least 60 minutes before departure.
When to leave
The drive from central London takes 37–55 minutes. For a morning departure, leave about two hours before take-off; allow a little more in the weekday evening peak.

Choosing the car
Most Upper Class travellers book our Executive car (£115 from central London) or the S-Class (£225) for the full chauffeur experience. Families and groups usually take the V-Class (£145, up to seven passengers).
The Wing’s entrance has size limits: vehicles over 5.8 m long, 4.4 m high or 7.5 tonnes are refused, and so are stretched limousines. Our saloons, executive cars, S-Class and V-Class are all within those limits. Larger minibuses are dropped at the main terminal.
No drop-off charge at the Wing
Everywhere else at Heathrow, a £7 charge applies each time a car enters a terminal drop-off zone. Virgin Atlantic confirms that the charge does not apply at the Upper Class Wing: cameras exempt your car automatically. If we have to use the main forecourt, the charge is already included in your fixed fare, so the price never changes.

Can a taxi or private hire car drop me at the Virgin Upper Class Wing?
Yes. Any car within the size limits can use it. The driver turns left before the usual Terminal 3 drop-off, follows the Virgin Upper Class Wing signs and stops in a bay after you give your booking reference at the barrier.
Is there a drop-off charge at the Upper Class Wing?
No. Virgin Atlantic says the Heathrow Terminal Drop Off Charge does not apply to the Upper Class Wing. Rushxo fares include all road and airport charges either way.
What are the Upper Class Wing opening hours?
Daily from 05:00 to 21:30. Outside those hours you check in inside Terminal 3 and we drop you at the main departures entrance.
Can a stretch limousine use the Upper Class Wing?
No. Vehicles over 5.8 metres long, 4.4 metres high or 7.5 tonnes, and stretched limousines, cannot enter. Our executive cars, S-Class and V-Class are within the limits.
