Go for the experience, not the comfort
Kenilworth Road is small, old and awkward, and most visiting supporters come away pleased to have been. The away entrance through the terrace is genuinely unlike anything else in the country, the ground is tight enough that the atmosphere is excellent, and it is a piece of football history that will not exist indefinitely. If your group is going, treat it as a trip worth making rather than a fixture to get through.
The streets have no room whatsoever
Every road around the ground is a Victorian terrace with matchday controls that are enforced comprehensively. There is no clever spot, no space to wait and no scope for a vehicle to hold anywhere near the turnstiles. We set down well back and collect towards the town centre, which is a walk of ten to fifteen minutes and the only realistic arrangement.
The town centre is where the space is
Luton's centre is about fifteen minutes from the ground and has the pubs, the food and the roads that can actually take a vehicle. Most of our Luton bookings include an earlier drop there, which costs nothing extra and gives the group somewhere to be before kick-off other than a narrow terraced street.
