Team travel, sized for the kit as well as the squad
Every club underestimates the same thing. Sixteen players fit in a sixteen-seat minibus and their bags do not, and somebody ends up with a holdall on their lap for ninety minutes before a match they are supposed to win.
Bags, boots, balls, a physio kit and a set of bibs occupy more space than most clubs allow for. Tell us what travels as well as who, and the vehicle gets sized for both rather than one of them.
Four ways clubs use us
Most start with one away fixture that went badly by car and move to something more organised from there.
A single away game
The usual starting point. One minibus, one Saturday, and nobody's parent driving four teenagers in their own car with no insurance for it.
Booked as a block
All the away fixtures arranged in one go at agreed rates, with the vehicles held for your dates. Cheaper per trip and no weekly arranging.
Multi-day, further afield
Regional and national tournaments with overnight stays, kit, and a coach that stays with the squad for the duration.
The travelling contingent
Separate vehicle for parents and supporters following the team, often booked alongside the squad transport.
Sizing a vehicle for a squad
These are realistic capacities once kit is accounted for. Booking to seat count alone is the mistake that gets made most.

Where Kent clubs travel
Most fixtures are within the county or just outside it. Tournaments are the long ones and they need planning differently.

Getting a season organised
Block booking the season is cheaper and easier
Arranging transport every Friday for a Saturday fixture is a job nobody at a club wants. Booking the season's away games at once gets you agreed rates, the vehicles held for your dates, and one invoice a month instead of a weekly collection from parents. It also means you are not competing for a minibus on the Saturdays when every other club wants one.
Parents driving is not the free option it looks like
Clubs often default to parents taking players in their own cars, and it appears to cost nothing. In practice it raises questions about insurance, supervision and who is responsible for whom, it means the squad arrives in pieces across half an hour, and it puts the burden on the same three parents every week. A shared vehicle divided across the squad is usually modest per player and removes all of that.
Tournaments need planning, not just a vehicle
A national tournament three or four hours away is a different exercise from a league fixture. Driver hours rules apply to long journeys and they shape what is possible in a day, so these trips are planned as overnight arrangements rather than squeezed into one. We will lay out honestly what the options are rather than quoting whatever sounds most convenient.
Youth teams and documentation
If you are travelling with under-18s, tell us what your club or governing body requires from a transport provider and we will confirm in writing what we can supply for your booking. Different sports and different leagues have different expectations, and it is better dealt with at the enquiry stage than assumed.

What size vehicle does a squad need?
More than the seat count suggests. A sixteen-seat minibus carries sixteen people but not sixteen people plus full kit, so a squad of fourteen with bags is usually more comfortable in a midi coach. Tell us what travels as well as how many, and we will size it properly.
Can we book the whole season at once?
Yes, and it is cheaper and considerably less work. Agreed rates across your fixture list, vehicles held for your dates, and a monthly invoice instead of a weekly collection.
Do you travel to national tournaments?
Yes. Longer trips are planned around driver hours rules and usually work better as overnight arrangements than as very long single days. We will set out the realistic options rather than promising something unworkable.
Can supporters travel separately?
Yes, often as a second vehicle on the same booking so both arrive together. Parents and supporters following a youth team is a common arrangement.
We travel with under-18s. What do you need to know?
Tell us what your club or governing body requires from a transport provider and we will confirm in writing what we can supply for your booking. Requirements differ by sport and league, so it is better handled at enquiry than assumed.
Can you invoice the club rather than collect from players?
Yes, on account with monthly invoicing and a VAT receipt. Most clubs find that simpler than collecting cash on a Saturday morning.
What if a fixture is postponed?
Tell us as soon as you know and we will move or cancel subject to our normal notice period. Weather postponements are part of a season and we do not make them harder than they need to be.
Can the driver wait at the fixture?
Yes, and it is usually the arrangement. The vehicle stays with the squad rather than leaving and returning, which matters when a match runs to extra time.
Do you cover training camps and pre-season?
Yes, including multi-day arrangements where the vehicle stays with the squad throughout. Tell us the shape of the trip and we will price it as one job.
Is the price fixed?
Yes, agreed in advance. Extra time, a long delay or a later return than expected do not change what the club is invoiced.
