Creamfields from Kent: 240 miles and a bank holiday
Creamfields is at the wrong end of the country from us, on the busiest travelling weekend of the year, with four days of camping at the far end. None of that makes it impossible. All of it makes it a trip that needs planning rather than booking.
Each way from north Kent, on the M6 over an August bank holiday. Five hours is a good run and seven is not unusual, which is why driver hours rules shape this trip rather than sitting quietly in the background.
Three realistic ways to get there from Kent

The straightforward option
One vehicle from Kent to site, kit in the hold, everyone together. Long, but you sleep for some of it and nobody drives.
Split the journey
Travel up the evening before and go in fresh on the Thursday. Costs a room and buys back the worst part of the trip.
Train north, local run
Train to Warrington or Runcorn and we handle the last leg and the kit. Often cheapest for a small group.
Not optional
A journey of this length has legally required breaks. Any operator quoting a Kent to Cheshire run without mentioning them has not planned it.

Four days of camping, in a hold
Creamfields is a camping festival, so the load is the same as Glastonbury. Over this distance a coach with a luggage hold is worth considerably more than it costs.

Be realistic about the Thursday
The August bank holiday is the busiest travelling weekend of the British year and the M6 is where it concentrates. A five-hour journey becomes seven with one incident. We build that in rather than quoting the theoretical time, and we would rather leave early than explain a late arrival.
Driver hours are a legal framework, not a preference
Journeys of this length are governed by rules on driving time and rest. They shape what is possible in a day, and any quote that ignores them is a quote from someone who has not thought about it. We plan around them and explain what that means for your itinerary.
The Monday return is worse than the Thursday out
Everyone leaves at once, from a site in the middle of Cheshire, onto a bank holiday motorway network. We set collections later in the day rather than first thing, which sounds counterintuitive and consistently gets people home sooner.
Consider the rail option honestly
For a group of four or five without much kit, a train to Warrington or Runcorn and a short transfer at the far end is frequently cheaper than a coach from Kent. We will say so rather than sell you the longer job.

About two hundred and forty miles from north Kent, which is four and a half to six and a half hours each way including the driver breaks a journey of this length legally requires. Bank holiday traffic on the M6 is the main variable.
Should we travel up the night before?
For most groups, yes. Splitting the journey costs a room and removes the worst part of the trip, and it means arriving able to enjoy the first night rather than sleeping through it.
Can you carry four days of camping kit?
Yes, but the vehicle needs sizing for it. Over this distance a coach with a luggage hold is far better than a minibus with kit competing for cabin space.
Would the train be cheaper?
For a small group without much kit, quite possibly. A train to Warrington or Runcorn with a local transfer at the far end often works out better, and we will tell you if we think that applies to you.
What time do you collect on the Monday?
Later in the day rather than first thing. Everyone leaves at once and the local roads gridlock, so a slightly later departure gets you home sooner.
How far ahead should we book?
Months. Long-distance August bank holiday work needs planning around driver availability and it is not something to arrange in July.
Can you collect from several addresses in Kent?
Yes, and over a journey this long it makes obvious sense rather than everyone converging on one house before dawn.
Is the fare fixed?
Yes, agreed before travel. Motorway delays and a late departure from site do not change what you pay.
