QEII Centre transfers, in the one part of London where the roads can vanish
The QEII Centre sits opposite Westminster Abbey, beside Parliament Square, in the most security-sensitive square mile in Britain. State occasions, protests and short-notice cordons all change what is drivable, sometimes on the morning itself.
Parliament Square, the Abbey, the Treasury and the Supreme Court are all within a couple of hundred metres. That concentration is why the venue exists and why the approach needs checking on the day rather than assumed from last time.

Events at the Abbey and in Parliament Square close roads across a wide area, sometimes for most of a day. These are usually known in advance and we plan around them.

Parliament Square is the country's default demonstration site. Closures can appear with very little warning and reshape the approach entirely.
Standing measures
Permanent restrictions around the parliamentary estate mean several obvious-looking routes are not available to general traffic at all.

Your driver confirms the approach before setting off rather than at the point of arriving. It is the difference between a two-minute walk and a long one round the square.

If you are presenting, arriving flustered or late is not a minor inconvenience. We treat speaker bookings with a bigger buffer, a confirmed route checked that morning, and a driver briefed on where the actual entrance is rather than where the postcode points. Delegates arriving from further afield
A good share of QEII events draw people from across the country, arriving at St Pancras, Victoria or Heathrow. The high speed link from Ebbsfleet makes this a straightforward pairing for Kent-based attendees, and for visitors we frequently run the station or airport leg at both ends of a multi-day conference.
Evenings in a quiet quarter
Westminster empties in the evening in a way that Soho and the City do not. After an awards dinner there is very little passing traffic and the walk to a station is longer than it looks on a map. A pre-booked collection is worth more here than at a venue surrounded by nightlife, simply because there is no fallback.

Can you drop us at the QEII Centre entrance?
Usually yes, on Broad Sanctuary, which puts you at the doors. Whether that is possible on your specific date depends on what else is happening in Westminster, so your driver checks the position that morning and adjusts if a cordon is in place.
What happens if there is a protest or a state event?
We reroute. Parliament Square is the country's default demonstration site and closures can appear at short notice, while ceremonies at the Abbey are usually known in advance. Either way the driver checks before setting off, and if the drop has to move we tell you where and how far it is to walk.
How long does it take from Kent?
Around an hour to an hour and a half depending on where you start. Westminster is on our side of the river, so there is no tunnel or crossing involved, which makes it easier than the north and west London venues.
Do you cover speakers and VIP arrivals?
Yes, with a larger time buffer and the route confirmed on the day. If you are presenting, tell us at the booking stage and we will plan the journey to that standard rather than the standard delegate one.
Can you meet people off Eurostar or from an airport?
Yes. St Pancras, Victoria, Heathrow, Gatwick and City are all common legs for QEII events, and Ebbsfleet works well for anyone coming in on the high speed line from Kent.
Do the congestion charge and emissions zone apply?
SW1 sits inside both. We confirm which charges apply to your route on your travel date and whether they are included in the quote before you commit, and nothing is added afterwards.
Do you do evening collections after dinners?
Yes, and it is worth booking. Westminster is very quiet at night with little passing traffic, so a pre-arranged collection is more valuable here than in an area full of bars.
Can our organisation book on account?

Can you collect several delegates from different addresses?
