Parklife: a day festival you cannot do in a day
Parklife is a non-camping festival, which normally means you go home afterwards. It is also in Manchester, two hundred and thirty miles from Kent. Those two facts do not fit together, and resolving them is the entire planning problem of the weekend.
At a festival two hundred and thirty miles from home that finishes around eleven at night. There is nowhere to sleep on site and nowhere sensible to drive to afterwards, which makes a Manchester hotel the first thing to book, ahead of the transport.

Planning Parklife from Kent
Book the hotel before you book us
We are unusual in saying this and it is the right order. Manchester accommodation fills for Parklife weekend, and where you are staying determines the shape of every journey we run for you. Once you have a hotel we can plan the runs to and from Heaton Park properly, which are twenty minutes each way rather than four and a half hours.
Do not attempt to drive home on the night
An eleven o'clock curfew plus four and a half hours puts you back in Kent at around four in the morning, after a day standing in a park. It is legal for us to run and it is a genuinely poor idea, and we would rather price you the hotel version and let you compare honestly than agree to it without saying so.
The park runs are the easy part
Once you are based in Manchester, Heaton Park is around twenty minutes away and the daily runs are straightforward. Everyone leaves the park at once at the curfew, so we collect back from the gates on a road that is moving, which is a ten to fifteen minute walk and considerably faster than anything closer.
Two days, and you can choose one
Parklife runs across a weekend and plenty of people from a distance do a single day rather than both. That halves the ticket cost without changing the travel problem, and for a first visit from this far south it is often the sensible version.
