For new and returning students, parents helping with the move, and international students arriving at London Metropolitan University, the journey in from the airport is exactly where a fixed-fare, pre-booked transfer earns its place. London Met teaches across a Holloway campus in Islington and an Aldgate campus in the East End — on opposite sides of town, so the key is heading to the right one. A Rushxo transfer takes the whole problem off your hands: met in arrivals after a tracked flight, driven directly to the door, with every toll already built into a price locked at the moment you book — no queue with luggage, no cross-city connection, no surge-priced app after a long flight.

Where we drop you

Arriving at London Metropolitan University — Holloway

London Metropolitan University is at 166-220 Holloway Road, London N7 8DB. Holloway Road (Piccadilly line) is directly opposite the main Holloway campus, with Highbury & Islington nearby; the Aldgate campus is near Aldgate and Aldgate East, with Liverpool Street a short walk. We deliver you door-to-door to the exact entrance you need, and run the return to any airport on the same fixed-fare basis.

A Fixed Fare With No Surge, Ever

On-demand apps surge exactly when you most need to travel — early mornings, late nights, holidays and bad weather, which is precisely when students and families travel. A Rushxo fare does the opposite: calculated on genuine road distance, quoted as a single fixed figure at booking, and never altered.

About London Metropolitan University — Your Destination

London Metropolitan University is a civic, widening-access university of around 10,000 students, with its main campus on the Holloway Road in Islington and the School of Art, Architecture and Design at Aldgate, plus a Shoreditch site. The campuses are central and parking-scarce, so a door-to-door drop-off is the easiest way to arrive.

For Move-In Day, Open Days & Graduation

The campuses sit north and east across central London, so a wrong turn means a long cross-town journey, and none has student parking to speak of. Whether you are arriving for move-in day, an open day, an offer-holder day or graduation, the journey is far simpler in one vehicle than split across the Underground with its stairs and changes. A single Rushxo saloon, executive car or MPV carries your whole party and luggage door-to-door for one fixed fare. For families travelling together we can arrange several vehicles on the same basis, and child seats and boosters are provided free on request.

Travel Safely — Pre-Booked, Licensed, Accountable

A pre-booked Rushxo transfer is named and identifiable to you in advance: your driver holds an enhanced DBS check as a condition of their TfL Private Hire licence and operates a fully insured, logged vehicle. You receive the driver's name, number, and the vehicle's make, model and registration before pickup. A female chauffeur can be requested for lone or late-night travellers.

About Rushxo

Rushxo Ltd is a Dartford-based private hire booking agent working with operators licensed by Transport for London, registered at Companies House under number 16464640, and with the ICO under reference ZC112187. Every driver holds a current TfL Private Hire Driver licence, requiring an enhanced DBS check, a medical assessment and topographical and English-language testing. Our model rests on one promise: the fixed fare quoted at booking is the fare you pay, every time. Learn more at www.rushxo.co.uk.

Coach: National Express Victoria Coach Station – Heathrow / Gatwick / Stansted / Luton (A1, A31) – Heathrow 45-75; Gatwick 75-100; Stansted 90-120; Luton 60-90 min, varies by date (book); Green Line 757 Victoria – Luton Airport – 60-90 min, see Arriva (book).

How to choose. Public transport wins on price for one traveller with hand luggage at 10am. A taxi usually wins when there are two or more of you (one fare for the car, not per person), when you have hold bags or a pushchair, for flights before the first train arrives or landings after the last one leaves, and when a change of train or a station without lifts would be a problem. Rail fares above are per adult; add £4–£6 per person for the DART/shuttle where shown, and remember engineering work most weekends.

Step-free: Victoria step-free; Green Park step-free; St James's Park, Pimlico, Sloane Square not step-free. Buses: All TfL buses low-floor with ramp; wheelchair users free; source https://content.tfl.gov.uk/accessible-travel-in-london-leaflet.pdf. Blue Badge parking: Westminster: national Blue Badge concessions do not apply; use designated disabled bays. Guide & assistance dogs: Assistance dogs welcome on all services on local public transport. Pets on public transport: Dogs free on TfL and National Rail (max 2 on rail), carried on escalators.

Travelling with us: assistance dogs always travel free in every car, no notice needed (Equality Act 2010). Other dogs and pets are welcome by prior arrangement – tell us when you book so we send a suitable car and a driver who is happy to carry them. Folding wheelchairs, walkers and mobility scooters that fold go in the boot at no extra charge; if you need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle or extra time at pick-up, say so when booking and we will confirm availability before you pay. Rail step-free status changes when lifts are out of service – check the station page or book Passenger Assist (ideally 2 hours ahead); on TfL you can turn up and go.

Child-friendly Victoria: places for children & family dining (nearest researched hub to London Metropolitan University: Victoria)

Family restaurants: Bill's Victoria (Cardinal Place); Franco Manca Victoria; Wagamama Victoria.

Baby changing & feeding: Baby-changing in free toilets at Victoria station (Network Rail).

Child seats: licensed private hire cars are exempt from the child-seat law when a seat is not available, but we would rather fit one – give us the children’s ages when you book and we will bring the right seat where we can (free, subject to availability), or you are welcome to bring your own. Pushchairs and travel cots go in the boot at no charge.

Car park, car hire, rail and accessibility details are as published by the operators and airports (seen October 2026) and from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors) – check before you rely on them; TfL Journey Planner times are for a weekday 10:00 departure. Our fares are the fixed saloon price on the linked route page.
