Every Westminster airport and international station transfer on one page

The City of Westminster is the heart of London's West End: Mayfair, Marylebone, Soho, Fitzrovia's western edge, Covent Garden, St James's, Belgravia, Pimlico and Victoria, with Paddington, Bayswater, Maida Vale and St John's Wood to the north-west. Most of London's five-star hotels are here, along with Victoria and Paddington stations.

For airport runs the A40 Westway and the A4 lead straight to Heathrow, while St Pancras is only a few minutes up the Marylebone and Euston Roads. Most of the borough is inside the Congestion Charge zone and Rushxo's central surcharge zone; Maida Vale and St John's Wood are not, so the table prices both.

Westminster postcodes and the fixed fare

Mayfair, Marylebone, Soho, Covent Garden, St James's, Belgravia, Victoria and Pimlico (W1, WC2, SW1) are central London in the booking engine. Fares from there include the Congestion Charge allowance and the £20 central surcharge – on a return, the surcharge applies to both legs. St John's Wood and Maida Vale (NW8, W9) are inner London without either, which is why they are cheaper for the same airport. Paddington and Bayswater (W2) sit at the edge; the area notes show which applies.

Coming home to Westminster

Every route here costs the same in reverse, so the airport to Westminster is the same price as Westminster to the airport. Book with your flight or train number and the pickup follows the real arrival time; the driver meets you in arrivals with a name board, and there is no night surcharge for late landings.

Westminster airport transfer questions

How much is a taxi from Westminster to Heathrow?
From NW8, W9 it is £85 in a saloon; from W1, SW1, WC2 it is £105, because those postcodes are in the central surcharge zone. Heathrow back to Westminster costs the same.
Which airport is cheapest from Westminster by taxi?
In order of saloon fare: Heathrow £85, London City £85, Gatwick £88, Luton £97, Stansted £106. Prices include the airport drop-off charge.
How long does it take to get from Westminster to Gatwick?
About 31 road miles, usually 55–80 min by over Vauxhall Bridge and down the A23 or A3/A24 to the M23. The fare is fixed whatever the traffic.
Can the driver meet me off the Eurostar?
Yes. Give the train number and the driver follows its arrival, meets you on the St Pancras arrivals concourse and brings you to Westminster for £75 in a saloon.
Is a return cheaper than two singles?
Yes – a return is 1.9 times the single. Westminster to Heathrow and back in a saloon is £162.
Are there night or weekend surcharges?
No night surcharge. The engine adds 20% on Fridays, Saturday and Sunday mornings before noon, and weekday peaks (into London 07:00–10:00, out of London 16:00–19:00), plus a seasonal supplement from 17 December to 1 January. You see it before paying.
Will the driver wait if my flight is late?
Flights are tracked; the pickup moves with the real landing time at no extra cost.
Why is Mayfair dearer than Maida Vale?
W1 is central London in the booking engine, so the Congestion Charge allowance and £20 central surcharge apply. Maida Vale (W9) and St John's Wood (NW8) are inner London without either.
Can you collect from a West End hotel?
Yes – give the hotel name and the driver uses its set-down, or meets you in the lobby with meet and greet on airport returns.
