Is Heathrow Express worth it?. We compare cost, time and convenience honestly so you can make the right choice for your journey.
| Option | Cost | Journey time | Pickup | Drop-off |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rushxo Taxi | £52 fixed | 35 min | Your door | Terminal door |
| Public transport | £37 single | 15 min | Paddington only | Terminal |
Taxi fare fixed at booking. Public transport fares as of June 2026. Times approximate.
For solo travellers with no luggage, public transport can make sense. But for 2+ passengers with luggage, a pre-booked taxi is often comparable or cheaper per head, and dramatically more convenient.
Key advantages of pre-booked taxi: door-to-door, no luggage restrictions, driver tracks your flight, same price at 4am as 4pm, no connection risk.
