Stansted and London City from SW1
Beyond the three main airports, SW1 also gets a fixed fare to Stansted (about 40 miles, typically 70–110 minutes via the A12 and M11) and London City (about 9 miles, typically 30–50 minutes through the City and Docklands). Arrivals work the same way in reverse: Stansted to London and London City to London with your driver waiting in the terminal.
Early morning and late-night airport runs from SW1
A large share of SW1 bookings are for 4am to 6am pickups: the first Heathrow departures, early Gatwick short-hauls and 6am Luton flights. Which terminal? Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton drop-off
- Heathrow: tell us the terminal (T2, T3, T4 or T5) and the driver drops you at the departures forecourt. The Heathrow drop-off charge is already in your fare.
- Gatwick: North or South Terminal changes the drop-off point, not the fare. Give us the airline and we check the terminal for you.
- Luton: drop-off is at the terminal forecourt, with the Luton drop-off fee included. No need for the DART shuttle.
- Arrivals: for airport pickups the driver waits inside the terminal with a name board (meet and greet), and waiting time after landing is free.

Taxi vs Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express and the Tube from SW1
From Victoria, the Gatwick Express is quick to the platform but you still need to get to Victoria with luggage, and it runs to a timetable. For Heathrow, SW1 has no direct rail link: it means a Tube change or a taxi to Paddington first. For two or more people with bags, or for any flight before 7am or after 10pm, a fixed-fare door-to-terminal taxi is usually the simpler option and often costs about the same as separate tickets once you add the connections.
The car also removes the two things that go wrong most often: carrying luggage through stations and interchanges, and arriving at the wrong terminal. Your driver takes you to the right forecourt and, on the way back, meets you at arrivals.
