Christmas party taxi prices example fixed fares for December 2026, no surge
What a Christmas party taxi should cost: worked examples for the usual journeys, per car, fixed at booking, the same at 1am as at 1pm.
Per car, not per person. No surge, no night surcharge. Free cancellation up to 24h before.
Example fares
Central London to a London borough: from about £42 (Zone 2) to £65 (outer boroughs) per saloon. Central London to Dartford, Sevenoaks, Bromley or Romford: £65 to £90. To Chelmsford, Maidstone, Brentwood or Guildford: £75 to £110. 8-seaters are around 45% more than a saloon, so a team of eight home to Kent is usually £15 a head. Returns booked together are 1.8 times a single. These are indicative; the exact fare is confirmed instantly when you enter the postcodes.
Why the price does not surge
Rushxo quotes a fixed fare per car from the postcodes and the vehicle type. Demand on the night does not enter into it, so the busiest Friday before Christmas costs the same as a wet Tuesday. Waiting time, if you are late to the car, is a flat rate; airport-style meet and greet is not needed for a party pick-up, so nothing is added.
What changes the price
Distance, vehicle size, a second venue on the way and a wait-and-return booking. Tolls and the Congestion Charge are included where they apply. Corporate accounts get one monthly invoice at the same fares.
