The Barbican is a superb arts centre inside a brutalist housing estate laid out on several levels with highwalks, tunnels and an address that satnavs interpret creatively. People miss the start of concerts here for one reason, and it is not traffic.
The entrance that matters. The estate has several approaches and only one of them puts you at the arts centre doors. Being dropped at the wrong side means a walk through a residential estate on raised walkways in the dark.
