The evening-flight reality
The Kangaroo Route clusters late: departures to Australia via Singapore, Dubai or Doha — and Qantas's Perth nonstop — leave Heathrow from late afternoon into the night, and Auckland via Asia or the Gulf follows the same pattern. Meanwhile, Southampton disembarkation opens between 7:00 and 9:30 am.
Do nothing about that gap and you'll spend it in a Heathrow departure lounge with cruise luggage. Plan it, and it becomes the best-value day of the whole trip.
The bonus-day play
Morning — gangway to the city
Your pre-booked driver is at the terminal exit with a name sign (we track the ship, so early or late clearance doesn't matter). Roughly two hours later you're in central London.
Midday — London, unencumbered
Westminster, the South Bank, Borough Market for lunch, that one museum you missed. Your luggage? Tell us your preference at booking — a same-driver day plan, or a drop at a secure luggage-storage point — and we'll build the day around it.
Late arvo — out to Heathrow
Pickup from an agreed spot around 4:30–5:00 pm for an evening departure; checked in three hours ahead with zero drama. One booking, one fixed arrangement, made from home weeks before you sail.
Rather go straight to the airport? Fair enough — the direct run is 1.5–2 hrs, and Windsor sits handily near the Heathrow route if you fancy swallowing a couple of hours somewhere pleasant. A routed stop is easy to arrange.

How to book from Australia or NZ
Message us before you sail
Online or WhatsApp from any AU/NZ number: ship, sail date, flight home, and whether you want the direct run or the London day plan.

Locked in GBP; pay by card and your bank converts to AUD or NZD at its standard rate. No surge, no meter — and no tipping culture battle. Like home, the price is simply the price.
We track the ship on the day
Driver at your terminal's exit with a name sign — whichever of the five terminals your ship is allocated. You never need to know which one; we track the berth.
Evening: easy run to Heathrow
We confirm pickup timing against your flight number and the day's traffic. Bags in the boot, checked in with margin, one last look at England from the M4.
Questions Aussies & Kiwis actually ask
Our flight's at 9pm — when should we leave central London?
Around 4:30–5:00 pm is comfortable. We confirm exact timing against your flight number on the day.
Can the driver mind our bags during the London afternoon?
Arrangements vary by booking — tell us when you reserve and we'll set up the option that suits: a same-driver day plan, or a secure luggage-storage drop.
We're six with big bags.
One 8-seater — everyone together, one fixed price split six ways. Larger groups take the 16-seat minibus.
Is driving here going to feel weird?
Not for you — the UK drives on the left, same as home. Your driver handles it anyway; you're on the correct side of the car for once on this trip.
What if the ship clears late?
We track the vessel, not the clock. Pickup shifts with actual disembarkation at no charge, and the day plan flexes with it.
Do you do the embarkation run too?
Yes — Heathrow or your London hotel straight to the correct gangway, flight-tracked. See Southampton cruise transfers.
