From the people who meet you in arrivals. Prices checked October 2026.
Temples
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden (free, the marble masterpiece), Shree Sanatan Hindu Mandir and Shri Vallabh Nidhi in Wembley, Sri Mahalakshmi Temple (East Ham), Highgate Hill Murugan Temple, Jain Centre and Oshwal Centre (Potters Bar), ISKCON Radha Krishna Temple on Soho Street and Bhaktivedanta Manor near Watford (George Harrison’s gift). Diwali on the Square is in October/November; Navratri garba nights fill Harrow and Wembley halls.
Pure vegetarian and Jain food
Wembley’s Ealing Road is lined with Gujarati vegetarian restaurants and sweet shops (Sakonis, Maru’s Bhajia House, Jay’s); Saravanaa Bhavan (East Ham, Wembley, Tooting) and Rasa for South Indian; Dishoom and the Michelin-level Kahani do strong vegetarian menus; Mildreds and Gauthier are fully plant-based. Jain (no onion, no garlic) food is available on request at most Wembley restaurants. Supermarkets label vegetarian and vegan products with a green V.
Practical
Indian, Gujarati and Hindi-speaking drivers on request; we carry pooja items and prasad boxes without question; temples are easy day trips (Neasden 30 min from central London, Bhaktivedanta Manor 50 min). Hotels near Wembley Stadium are convenient for temple visits and Wembley events alike.
