London for families with young children: a practical guide with 2026 prices
From the people who meet you in arrivals. Prices checked October 2026.
Child seats, prams and the first hour
Tell us the children’s ages and we bring the right seats (infant, toddler, booster) free where available; prams and travel cots go in the boot. Licensed private hire cars are legally exempt from the child-seat rule, but we would rather fit one. Our driver meets you in arrivals so nobody is dragging bags and a buggy to a taxi rank.
Where to stay and what it costs
Family rooms sleeping four start around £150–£220 a night in Paddington, Bloomsbury and King’s Cross; serviced apartments with a kitchen from £180. Hotels near parks (Paddington for Hyde Park, Bloomsbury for Coram’s Fields) save sanity.
