Enfield ⇄ Heathrow Airport
Round the M25 – no central London.
London Borough of Enfield · airport & Eurostar transfers
Fixed fares from Enfield Town, Edmonton, Southgate, Palmers Green, Winchmore Hill and Enfield Lock to the five London airports and five international stations, both ways. With the M25 and A10 on the doorstep, Stansted is often quickest – £85 to Heathrow Airport in a saloon.
Enfield is London's most northerly borough, bounded by the M25 to the north and the River Lea to the east. The A10, A406 and M25 meet here, so Stansted, Luton and the north are easy, and Heathrow is a manageable run round the M25.
The borough covers Enfield Town and Chase, Southgate, Palmers Green, Winchmore Hill, Edmonton, Ponders End and Enfield Lock. Most of it has outer-London EN postcodes, with N9, N13, N14, N18 and N21 in the south counted as inner London.
Each card shows the fixed saloon fare from Enfield, the saloon return, and links to the detailed page for each direction. Book buttons open the booking page with the route filled in.

Priced for a pickup at Enfield Town, Enfield EN1 3RB, UK.
Standard fares, whole vehicle, one way; the reverse journey costs the same. Returns are 1.9× the single. The engine adds 20% for Friday journeys, Saturday and Sunday pickups before noon, Monday–Thursday trips into London 07:00–10:00 and out of London 16:00–19:00, and a seasonal supplement from 17 December to 1 January. Tariff 2026-09-21h-csz.
Enfield addresses are outer-London postcodes, so there is no central surcharge on these fares, and the Congestion Charge allowance only appears on the St Pancras run because the station itself is in a central postcode. What moves the price is distance, plus the airport drop-off charge at the airport end. Runs where neither end is an airport or inner London – Ebbsfleet, Ashford and Birmingham International – are priced on the engine's out-of-town rate, which is about 10% above the London rate for the same mileage.
Where to wait, which roads slow things down and whether the central surcharge applies – Enfield area by area.
| Area | Postcode | Central surcharge? | Pickup notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enfield Town | EN1 / EN2 | No | Church Street is busy; a side road or the station approach works better. |
| Enfield Chase & Gordon Hill | EN2 | No | Leafy roads, close to the A1005 and M25. |
| Southgate | N14 | No | Around the Tube station roundabout traffic is heavy – give a residential street. |
| Palmers Green | N13 | No | Green Lanes is a busy bus route; side roads are quicker. |
| Winchmore Hill | N21 | No | Quiet streets near the A105. |
| Edmonton | N9 / N18 | No | Next to the North Circular – quick for Heathrow and Stansted. |
| Ponders End & Enfield Lock | EN3 | No | By the A1055 and M25 junction 25 – fastest for Stansted. |
| Cockfosters | EN4 | No | Near the M25 and A111; easy for Luton. |
Add anything that helps the driver find the door – a building name, a side entrance, a code. Arrival messages are automatic.
From Enfield, the order of the airports by drive time is not always what the map suggests. Route by route:
Heathrow is reached by the M25 anticlockwise from Enfield, avoiding London altogether. From Edmonton the North Circular west is an alternative.
Gatwick is on the far side of London; the M25 in whichever direction is clearer is the usual route.
Luton is about 40 minutes away along the M25 and A1(M) or M1.
Stansted is the borough's quickest airport: onto the M25 at junction 25 and up the M11. Ideal for early budget-airline departures.
London City is reached via the North Circular and the A13 – useful for European business trips.
Five stations in England carry "International" in their name. St Pancras is the Eurostar terminal; Stratford, Ebbsfleet and Ashford sit on the HS1 high-speed line; Birmingham International serves Birmingham Airport and the NEC. Only St Pancras currently has Eurostar departures.
St Pancras is a direct run south through Stoke Newington or Finsbury Park.
Stratford International is a short run south along the Lea Valley.
Ebbsfleet is reached by the M25 clockwise and the Dartford Crossing; any crossing charge is in the fixed fare.
Ashford is a motorway run via Dartford and the M20.
Birmingham International is a straightforward motorway run via the M25, M1, M6 and M42.
