The Reading to Co-op Live journey is regular event work for us, day and night. A saloon from Reading to Co-op Live is a fixed fare from £406 each way, about 172 miles and 4.0-5.7 hrs door to door. Book the return with it and the pair is priced at 1.8 times a single, from £731, with the driver waiting at the agreed meeting point after arena concerts. An 8-seater for a group is from £589, executive cars on request.

Fares are per car, agreed at booking, and include tolls and any London charges where they apply. No meter, no surge, the same price after the last encore.

Pick-up in Reading, drop-off at Co-op Live

Pick-up is at your door anywhere in Reading or the Berkshire towns and villages around it, with the driver named the day before and a text when the car is outside. At Co-op Live we drop at the official drop-off point, or the meeting corner we agree for arena concerts when the roads around the venue are closed.

At 172 miles this is a 4.0-5.7 hrs drive in normal conditions. Event-day queues are the driver’s problem, not yours: the fare is fixed either way.

Co-op Live to Reading: the journey home

Co-op Live to Reading is the same fixed fare as the outbound leg. Book both legs together and the driver waits at the agreed meeting point at the end of arena concerts, however late it runs; the driver takes you back to your door in Reading. Waiting time is included in the return price and the fare does not change for the finish time.

Event days at Co-op Live

For arena concerts we plan around the venue, not the postcode: the drop-off point that is actually open, the corner we meet on afterwards, and a departure time that beats the car-park queue. An 8-seater takes the whole group from Reading for little more than two saloons, and a wait-and-return price keeps the same driver on site for the day. Late finishes are normal for us; the fare is the same at 1am.
