Teesside, Newcastle or Leeds Bradford?
Teesside International is the local airport, eight miles east of Darlington, and for its Amsterdam, Dublin and holiday routes it is the obvious choice. Newcastle is the region's main airport, an hour up the A1(M) and A1 with the widest choice of European and long-haul flights, and it is where most of our Darlington transfers go. Leeds Bradford is the alternative when the fare or the timing is better, about 75 minutes down the A1(M) and A658; its position on the hillside makes it the airport most likely to be fog-bound in winter, which is worth knowing when a car is waiting for you. Manchester, two hours and a quarter away, is the one that opens up the rest of the world, and a fixed-fare car door to terminal is often cheaper than the train once two people are travelling.

Darlington and its villages, Hurworth, Croft, Middleton St George and Sadberge; Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland and Spennymoor; Middlesbrough, Stockton, Yarm, Eaglescliffe and Redcar on the Teesside side; Durham and Chester-le-Street to the north; Richmond, Catterick and Northallerton to the south. Fares are calculated on the actual distance, so a Yarm to Newcastle Airport run costs a little more than one from Darlington and a Durham pickup costs less. How the transfer works
You book with the flight number; we set the pickup time and the car arrives with the driver's plate texted to your phone. On the return the driver tracks the flight, waits up to 60 minutes after landing at no extra cost and meets you in arrivals with a name board on request. The fare is fixed, so a slow A1 in the snow or a diversion at Scotch Corner is our problem. Return journeys are booked as one job at 1.8 times the one-way fare, and cancellation is free up to 6 hours before pickup.
