London City Airport Early Morning and Late Night Taxi – Fixed Fare, 24 Hours
City opens for departures around 06:00 and the last arrivals land after 22:00, and both ends catch the DLR at its thinnest. A pre-booked car with the fare fixed the night before is the reliable answer: no night rate, the Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels free between 22:00 and 06:00, and a driver who is there when the doors open.
Early and late fares
The same fixed fares apply at 05:00 as at 15:00; there is no night supplement. Weekend journeys carry the standard 10% shown in the quote.

The first flights
The earliest departures from City leave shortly after 06:00 for Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Zurich and Dublin. The DLR starts around 05:30 from Bank on weekdays and later at weekends, and it is a two-change journey from most of west or south London, which does not fit a 06:30 flight. Book the car the evening before with the flight number and let us set the pickup: from central London that is about 04:45, from Bromley about 05:00, and the roads are empty so the journey is at its shortest. City recommends arriving 90 minutes before departure, and at that hour security takes minutes.
The last arrivals
Evening arrivals from the European business routes land between 21:00 and 22:30, when the DLR is running every ten to fifteen minutes and a bag makes the change at Bank tedious. A pre-booked driver tracks the flight, waits in arrivals with a name board and has the car in the short-stay a minute away; a delayed landing does not change the price. Because the tunnels are free after 22:00, the late runs to south London are the cheapest of the day.
