Early flights: the 3am, 4am and 5am problem

Most UK airports have a wave of departures between 06:00 and 07:30. To make a 06:30 flight from Gatwick with hold luggage you need to be at the terminal by about 04:30, which means leaving central London around 03:30, before the Tube, before most trains and before most minicab offices have anyone answering the phone. Ride-hail apps at that hour are thin on drivers and heavy on surge. Rushxo schedules the car the night before, confirms the driver by text, and the fare is the same as it would be at midday.

Late arrivals and night landings

Long-haul flights land at Heathrow from 05:00; low-cost flights land at Stansted and Luton after midnight. For night arrivals the driver tracks the flight, waits in arrivals with a name board and takes you home or to your hotel with no queue and no rank. If the flight is delayed by three hours, the pickup moves by three hours.

How do I know the driver will turn up at 3:30am?

The car is scheduled and assigned to a named driver the evening before, you receive their details by text, and our night controller monitors every early job.

Can I book a late-night airport pickup for someone else?

Yes. Give us the passenger name and mobile number; the driver meets them with a name board and we keep both of you informed.

What if my flight lands at 2am?

We collect at any hour. Give us the flight number and the driver is in arrivals when it lands.
